Our community has a unique talent for feeding people.
Southern Nevada’s hospitality industry has the expertise to manage the production of incredible amounts of food. Our world-class chefs know how to create complete, balanced meals on a scale to feed more than 30,000,000 visitors each year. We’re ready to use these resources to solve the problem of hunger.
The mission of Three Square is to provide wholesome food for hungry people while working to end hunger in Southern Nevada.
Our partnership with the hospitality industry lets us take on hunger in a brand new way. Our partners’ ability to make bulk food purchases and plan large-scale meals lets us shift our focus from food recovery to food production.
Three Square’s centerpiece is a state-of-the-art food production facility. This facility, designed by leading chefs in the hospitality industry, will allow us to create healthy, nutritionally balanced meals and provide them to community food distribution centers like shelters, churches and social service centers. We aim to develop our food production system and centralized facility as a model for other programs across the country.
We will supplement this unique food production facility with a food recovery center, specializing in traditional donations and food banking, and a job training center, giving economically disadvantaged individuals not just meals, but opportunities for growth. These tools will come together on the Three Square campus to make sure there is always an abundant supply of food and resources available to organizations serving the hungry in our community. |
