TENDER Steak & Seafood

K.C. Fazel’s culinary interest was ignited while growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Fazel embarked on a culinary career following his graduation from high school when he enrolled in California Polytechnic University in Pomona, Calif. to obtain a bachelor’s degree in hotel & restaurant management. After acquiring his degree and developing a foundational understanding of the food industry, Fazel attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. where he received his associate degree in culinary arts.

Fazel has worked under the direction of a myriad of renowned chefs to which he accredits much of his skill and expertise including Bradley Ogden during his time at Campton Place in San Francisco, Calif. and Tom Colicchio while working at Craftsteak at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.  Fazel integrates the philosophy learned from his past culinary mentors into his current role as executive chef at TENDER Steak & Seafood where he creates cuisine utilizing farm-fresh, quality ingredients with a focus on taste and simple presentation.

Fazel has won gold, silver and bronze medals at American Culinary Federation competitions, been featured on the television series, “Great Chefs of the South” and appeared on Food Network.
