Golden Groceries

Three Square’s Golden Groceries program provides delicious, healthy, supplemental groceries to individuals who are 60 and better. Golden Groceries can be found at multiple locations across Southern Nevada. Pantries offering Golden Groceries have special hours and days for seniors to avoid long lines and have a pleasant experience. Golden Groceries is also offered through home delivery, and we need your help!

Help deliver food to seniors

By delivering to seniors once a month, you are connecting them to services they couldn’t get without you. To volunteer with Golden Groceries, you will:

  • Be assigned to a trusted Golden Groceries partner to deliver groceries to seniors’ homes
  • Use your own vehicle to deliver approximately 40 pounds of groceries per senior
  • Complete a background check and Older Adult Protective Training
  • Help seniors avoid long lines
  • Brighten the day of our friends 60 and better in the community

Three Square Center

The Three Square Center helps connect our unconnected neighbors to resources. As a volunteer, you will be working one-on-one with people in the community over the phone to help them with application assistance and resource navigation. Bilingual services are available. Services that our volunteers provide include:

  • Completing and submitting applications for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (or SNAP, formerly known as food stamps) on a client’s behalf
  • Referring clients to Three Square’s Benefits Services Outreach Advocates at sites around the community for assistance with SNAP, EAP (non-emergency energy assistance), Project REACH, Medicare Part D extra savings, and Medicaid
  • Referring clients to outside agencies that can better meet their needs
  • Assessing clients for our Golden Groceries Program
