Three Square Appoints Matthew J. Muldoon Chief Development Officer

Muldoon and the development team are tasked with raising the annual cash budget for Three Square, enabling continued operation growth until the need for food in this community is met. His responsibilities include managing all elements of individual and corporate fundraising, marketing and public relations, donor acquisition and recognition, and database management among others.

A truck brimming with food - 12,752 pounds worth - rolled up to Grace Immanuel Baptist Church on Bartlett Avenue on Friday afternoon as a growing crowd eagerly eyed its contents.
A dozen volunteers quickly unloaded the food pyramid-worthy assortment of meats, produce, dairy and snack items, careful to avoid the children zipping up and down the pavement.

The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation steps up to ensure struggling Southern Nevada families have the food assistance they need this year, pledging $5 million toward Three Square Food Bank's 2011 - 2012 annual budget. Three million dollars of the pledge are specifically designated as matching funds, calling on the community to meet the full dollar amounty by April 30, 2012.

In a small space on the second floor of the Promenade Mall, across Maryland Parkway from UNLV, something unusual is happening this semester. Close as it is to campus, it would be ideal for study groups or research collaborations.
But the space isn't used for either of those. It's a food bank for graduate students and UNLV employees.
