Three Square Programs In order to more effectively pursue our dream to end hunger in Southern Nevada, Three Square is building a broad base of logistical support, which started with the opening of the Three Square Food Bank.Agency Capacity Building:
Three Square is studying our current distribution and agency capacity in an effort to understand how to expand food distribution through our agency partners into the community.
Agency Capacity Enhancement (ACE) Grants:
Three Square offers mini-grants to its agencies to provide refrigerators, freezers, infrastructure, training, and other items that will enable increased food distribution. In the summer of 2008, Three Square expects to awarded approximately 20 grants valued at $1,500 each.
“BackPack for Kids” Program:
In partnership with the Clark County School District, Three Square provides a bag of kid-friendly, shelf-stable foods to children who lack adequate food over the weekend.
Just One Thing:
Ending hunger is a formidable challenge, but it’s something we can achieve if we work together as a community. If everyone in Southern Nevada did just one thing – no matter how small – to help provide food to the food-insecure, we could change the face of our city forever.
