Nacho Daddy's Buy a Meal, Give a Meal

Date: Tuesday, May 2, 2017

Nacho Daddy is a fun and whimsical brand on the surface, but community-focused at heart. The restaurant's founders Fred Mossler, Keith Glynn, Tony Hsieh and Paul Hymas found a meaningful way to give back to the Las Vegas community through the restaurant's, "Buy a Meal, Give a Meal" program. The program funds one meal for Three Square by using the food bank's metric of one dollar generating three meals.

"We thought the best way to reward the support of the Las Vegas community was to build a program where for every entrée purchased at any of our locations, we would donate a meal to a child in need," said Mossler. "We were inspired by Three Square's work in our community, and we decided they would make the perfect partner for our program, and they've been incredibly supportive."

Three Square is appreciative, not only for the support but for Nacho Daddy's creative way to get the community involved in giving. This program makes it easy for anyone to contribute to the fight against hunger. It's a win-win situation and an incredibly powerful way to make a difference.

"Nacho Daddy's Buy a Meal, Give a Meal program is an extension of the company's innovative brilliance, turning the staff at Nacho Daddy – and anyone who dines there - into a philanthropist," said Brian Burton, President and CEO of Three Square Food Bank. "This wonderful program clearly demonstrates how everyone can help others, while making a massive impact with one small act of kindness at a time."

Nacho Daddy kicked off the program with the event, "Nacho Average Throwdown," last November with celebrity chefs including Chumlee from Pawnstars and Strip entertainer Terry Fator, along with Nacho Daddy and Three Square chefs competing to make the best nachos. The event marked the restaurant's first donation of 110,000 meals, which was graciously matched by the Target Corporation totaling 220,000 meals.

The generosity continues this Cinco de Mayo with an event at Nacho Daddy's Summerlin restaurant. On Cinco de Mayo, Nacho Daddy will celebrate the donation of an additional 140,000 meals. They are inviting the public to stop by from 11 am - 8 pm for music, games and raffles. Guests who bring a non-perishable food donation for Three Square will receive a free drink.

Whether in Summerlin or Downtown Las Vegas, Three Square invites supporters to visit one of Nacho Daddy's three convenient locations to serve locals and tourists alike.
