The Gift of Food

Every year, it amazes me how fast the holidays come upon us, but I look forward to them for many reasons. My childhood was filled with so many wonderful memories of family gatherings and delightful meals that still hold true today. What I also look forward to is seeing firsthand how our community bands together to help our neighbors who need help providing food for their families.

Our donors, volunteers and advocates support Three Square all year long, but they truly come together during the holidays to provide the perfect gift – food. Even in the midst of a pandemic, volunteers ask us how they can help, and donations of food and funds come to us from all across Southern Nevada (and the United States).

Furthermore, through December 31st, our generous friends at Nevada Gold Mines operated by Barrick, Boyd Gaming, Intermountain Healthcare and Towbin Motorcars are offering a matching challenge. Donations made in November and December can be doubled to provide twice as many meals.

I am proud and honored to work for Three Square, an organization that is able to distribute vital food and resources to individuals and families in need. There is so much good in the world, and I look forward to seeing that good show up for our community this holiday season. YOU, our supporters, make such a difference to the more than 363,000 individuals who struggle with hunger, and for that I say THANK YOU!
