Three Square Food Bank hosted event to benefit children in need; Wider Bag Childhood Hunger match campaign continues through May 31
LAS VEGAS, May 12, 2023 – On Saturday, May 6, “Fashion for Three Square,” a special event underwritten by the Bennett Family Foundation, transformed Three Square’s north campus – which ordinarily houses operations, volunteering, food rescue, warehousing and distribution – into an extravagant party venue. Complete with elegant décor, fashion models, entertainment and local culinary tastes, the gathering’s attendees came together to support the Bag Childhood Hunger campaign.
The event featured jewelry by Kastel Designs and fashions presented by Neiman Marcus, along with food provided by top Las Vegas restaurants – including Bazaar Meat, Blue Ribbon Sushi, Brezza, China Poblano, Edge Steakhouse, Graze Kitchen, Jaleo and Three Square’s Executive Chef. Beverages were provided by Johnson Brothers, and Buddy V’s Ristorante served an assortment of sweet treats. One of Three Square’s storage coolers was converted into an ice bar, featuring caviar from Artisanal Foods and Tito’s Handmade Vodka cocktails. The Moonshiners also provided entertainment throughout the evening.
Contributions made to Three Square's Bag Childhood Hunger Campaign will be matched by generous sponsors, including Nevada Gold Mines operated by Barrick and the NV Energy Foundation, doubling the impact.
The campaign supports Three Square's childhood nutrition programs, including Kids Cafe, BackPack for Kids, and Meet Up and Eat Up, which ensure that more than 130,000 food-insecure children in Southern Nevada receive wholesome, nutritious meals after school, over the weekends, and during the summer months.
