Food Banks Are Overrun, as Coronavirus Surges Demand

As the need for food assistance rises nationwide, food banks across the country are facing a multitude of challenges as a result of the pandemic. Three Square’s COO Larry Scott explains to The New York Times how the increased need for food can be seen at the food bank’s drive-thru distribution locations, where hundreds of vehicles are lined up hours before sites are scheduled to open.
