LAS VEGAS (MAY 26, 2026) — Three Square Food Bank and its community partners will provide free summer meals to children in need through the “Meet Up and Eat Up” program from May 26 to Aug. 7, offering nutritious food to kids who rely on free or reduced-price school lunches during the year as part of the Nevada Department of Agriculture’s Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).

“As families continue to face rising grocery costs, programs like Meet Up and Eat Up play a vital role in supporting parents and ensuring children have the nourishment they need,” said Beth Martino, President and CEO of Three Square. “For many children in Southern Nevada, the end of the school year also means losing access to reliable meals. Through this program, our community can come together to ensure every child continues to have access to healthy food throughout the summer.”

How It Works

Free, nutritious meals will be available for children 18 and under at sites across the valley, including recreation centers, Boys & Girls Clubs, libraries, and day camps, with mobile delivery to select apartment communities. Breakfast, lunch, or both will be offered from a rotating menu of 20 options, provided free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis to all children without discrimination.

Community Partners

Funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and administered by the Nevada Department of Agriculture, the Meet Up and Eat Up program helps bridge the summer gap by providing free meals to children in need.

With help from volunteers and partners, Three Square will pack about 20,000 meals each weekday throughout the summer.

Why It Matters

When school ends, many CCSD students lose access to breakfast and lunch. With one in five Southern Nevada children living in a food-insecure household, this program provides wholesome meals and critical resources to local families.
