Experiencing childhood hunger causes lasting harm, impacting physical health, emotional well-being, along with success in school and life.

In our community:

  • Nearly 113,000 children face hunger regularly.
  • The majority of students rely on free or reduced-price school meals.
  • Many go without meals during evenings, weekends, and summers.

With your support, children can have a hunger-free childhood.

Feeding kids over the weekend.

For many children in Southern Nevada, school provides the only meals they can count on. Three Square’s BackPack for Kids program helps fill the weekend gap during the school year. Every Friday, bags are discreetly given to students in need, filled with kid-friendly, nutritious items like granola bars, cereal, juice, and entrees.

Providing nutritious meals after school.

Three Square’s Kids Cafe program ensures that children have access to healthy and hand-prepared meals after school, which are served in safe, supportive environments across Southern Nevada.

In partnership with local schools, enrichment programs, and state agencies, these meals are provided through the USDA’s Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).

Feeding kids throughout the summer.

When school is out, Meet Up and Eat Up ensures kids 18 and under have access to free, healthy meals all summer long. Through over 100 sites, more than 35,000 rotating, kid-friendly meals packed and served each week!
