Philip joined Treasure Island in March of 2011 as Executive Room Chef of Isla. He was classically trained at The Philadelphia Restaurant School. After graduating, Morris moved to New York to train at the Five Diamond Peninsula Hotel under Chef Grey Kunz and later with Chef Adam Odegard; while working at the Peninsula, Morris worked his way from saucier to Sous Chef and then followed Chef Adam to his own restaurant in Westchester County New York. In 1995 Morris was featured at the James Beard House as part of the “up and coming chef” series.

In 1997 Morris became Executive Chef of the Tennessee Mountain Restaurant in New York City. While there, he was featured as guest on the Food Network Show – On Food Today and Good Day New York morning show.

Morris moved to Las Vegas with his family in 1999 where he worked as Assistant Chef at Café Bellagio for a short time, before going to work for the PGA Tour – TPC at the Canyons as Executive Chef. In 2002, he transitioned over to TPC in Summerlin.

Morris has been featured on several local morning shows including 8 News Now, Channel 3 News, and Las Vegas Golf Magazine. He is a home schooling father of two, donates his time to feed the homeless every Tuesday and is very much involved with his church.
