Executive Chef of Arizona Charlie’s on Decatur and with American Casino and Entertainment Company for the past 10 years, Chef Mike DeLeon began his career at the side of his mom. His love of cooking and his eventual career began alongside her in a fast-paced diner in Denver, Colo.

In his late 20s he had a desire to expand his culinary knowledge and entered the Art Institute of Colorado. With his experience and an education in the culinary arts, his career path led him to work at the famed Coors field.

When Las Vegas beckoned, DeLeon found a home at The Stratosphere Hotel and Casino. He began as a cook, having the opportunity to gain experience by working at each food outlet – café, buffet, room service, diner, employee dining and in the extraordinary Top of the World. He worked his way up the ranks from cook to Sous Chef, Assistant Room Chef in the Café, Room Service and Diner. He ultimately landed his current position as Executive Chef at Arizona Charlie’s on Decatur, where he says, “I’ve found my home.”

Above all of his culinary credits, DeLeon’s states his greatest achievement is his family. He and his wife have four children.
