Executive Chef
Westgate Las Vegas
At the helm of Westgate Las Vegas’s culinary program, Executive Chef Steve Young brings artistry, leadership, and a passion for hospitality to one of the city’s most iconic resorts. With a career spanning more than two decades, Young has earned a reputation for crafting bold, flavor-driven cuisine that blends timeless classics with fresh, innovative touches.
A New Jersey native, Young first discovered his love of cooking in his family’s kitchen before earning his associate degree in culinary and business management from The Art Institute of New York City.
His early career began at Chef Michael White’s Due Mari/Due Terre in New Jersey, but it was his move to Las Vegas in 2008 that propelled him into some of the city’s most prestigious kitchens, including Joël Robuchon at MGM Grand & L’Atelier. In 2015, he joined Westgate Las Vegas to launch Edge Steakhouse, building the restaurant from the ground up and quickly establishing it as one of the city’s premier dining destinations. His leadership and vision have earned him recognition as one of Las Vegas’s culinary stars, including “40 Under 40”, the Top Chef Medal at the Las Vegas Food & Wine Festival, and Best New Chef/Rising Star at the Silver State Culinary Awards, and Best Executive Chef/ Best Steakhouse 2019 at the Silver State Awards.
Today, he continues to oversee Westgate’s diverse culinary operations—from world-class fine dining and high-volume banquets to casual dining experiences that serve thousands of guests each day. His vision emphasizes elevated ingredients, flawless execution, and a guest-first philosophy that has cemented Westgate Las Vegas as a true culinary destination.
